GLPPOSS module: Posting: Single Ledger
Symptoms
Attempting to post journals and the posting is ending without the journals being posted.
The Posting output file showing - Error16 - Unable to balance intercompany accounts
The log file showing the following:
SHRD0180: glpicfe() - Performing action >> define_header_err_cursor...
SHRD0180: glpicfe() - Performing action >> check_header_errors...
PPOS0261: The following journals post to balancing segment values which are not mapped to legal entities:
=> <Batch Name>
Balancing Segment Values (BSV) were upgraded and are not assigned to Ledger or Legal Entities (unassigned).
Only one Ledger currently exists and has one associated Legal Entity (LE), many BSV's currently exist and are being used in the journal that is not posting.
Intracompany rules are defined for Other/Other Journal source and Category for All Other BSV values.
Journals from this journal source posted in the past without issue using the same BSV values as that are included in the journal that is now not posting.
Changes
One Balancing Segment Value that is included in the journal data has been newly assigned to the Ledger.
