R12.1.3 - Offers- The Discount Rule Item Category Doesn't Work The Same As Advanced Pricing (Doc ID 2086228.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 02, 2016

Applies to:

Oracle Trade Management - Version 12.1.3 to 12.1.3 [Release 12.1]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

In Oracle Channel Revenue Management, when creating an Offer, the discount rule Item category doesn't work like Advanced Pricing and the setup does not appear to be taken into consideration.

Example

For QP (Advanced Pricing) setup, PTE ORDFUL, for each source system (QP, AMS & ASO), customer setups only one functional area (product reporting, id = 11) and uncheck the functional area Order entry (id = 7).

In QP, the LOV for the product attribute item category lists all category codes belonging to the category set affected by the functional area product reporting.

In Channel Revenue Management, the LOV for the product attribute item category lists all category codes belonging to category set affected by the functional area product reporting and Order Entry
