General Ledger Journals Lines Created from Subledger Data (such as Receivables - Receipts) are Sorted in a Random Order, Why? (Doc ID 2090122.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 23, 2015

Applies to:

Oracle General Ledger - Version 12.1.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Currently the General Ledger (GL) Journals lines created for Subledger data are not presented using an order that makes sense for the business; taking Accounts Receivables (AR) receipts for example, the imported journal lines do not consider the receipt's document sequence value or the receipt date / GL date for sorting.

There should be options available in Oracle Applications to have GL journals in alignment with Subledger relevant details, such as the AR receipts numbers or, in general, some unique fields like document sequence values or some date.
