Information in this document applies to any platform.

On : 12.2.4 version, Contracts Repository

In "Add Party" page in Contracts, there is no validation on Party Name field when a different Party Role is selected
When you choose one party role and add in a party name, then change the party role it is not forcing the party name to be validated. When adding sites the system populates the LOV with every site in the system.

Changing party role should either blank out the party name and force a new search or enforce the value in the party name before allowing site to be searched.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Create a repository contract and click on Add Party button to add a party
2. Select Party Role: Customer. Choose a party and an address
3. Change Party Role to Supplier.
4. Address Filed is cleared but party remains in the Party Name field even though it is not a valid supplier.
5. At this point if you open the Sites LOV, all sites are displayed there.
6. If you select any site and try to save, at this point error is thrown for Party Name: Select a valid value

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users need some extra navigation till they find the error. Initially when the role changes itself, the fields should be blanked.
