Unable to Close WIP Job: "Number of jobs failed in Delivered Quantity: 1" or "Quantity delivered less than Quantity received" (Doc ID 2098849.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to close a specific discrete job, the following error occurs.

PO/Requisition was not automatically cancelled. Cause: PO/Requisition cannot be cancelled if: 1. PO/Requisition was in a status other than Approved, or Rejected. 2. PO/Requisition was already closed, or finally closed, or cancelled, or put on hold. &Message (Message=) The specified control action (Action = CANCEL) is invalid for this document. &MESSAGE (MESSAGE=) The specified control action (ACTION = CANCEL) is invalid for this document. PO.PO_CONTROL_INVALID_ACTION N ACTION CANCEL. The specified control action (Action = CANCEL) is invalid for this document.

The following error is observed in the Close Discrete Job program log file (WICDCL log file):

 

Number of jobs failed in Delivered Quantity: 1
Job ends in status Failed Closed.

Quantity delivered less than Quantity received
Number of jobs failed in Delivered Quantity : 1



Steps to Reproduce the Issue:

1. Responsibility: Work In Process.
2. Discrete Job > Close Discrete Job > Close Discrete Job (form).
3. Enter job details.
4. Note message seen "PO/Requisition was not automatically cancelled. Cause: PO/Requisition cannot be cancelled if: 1. PO/Requisition was in a status other than Approved, or Rejected. 2. PO/Requisition was already closed, or finally closed, or cancelled, or put on hold. &Message (Message=) The specified control action (Action = CANCEL) is invalid for this document. &MESSAGE (MESSAGE=) The specified control action (ACTION = CANCEL) is invalid for this document. PO.PO_CONTROL_INVALID_ACTION N ACTION CANCEL. The specified control action (Action = CANCEL) is invalid for this document."
5. Button: OK
6. Menu: Tools
7. Close 1 > Detailed report
8. Concurrent program completes error.
