Timecard with Hours defined in Earning Group will not Explode into Overtime (Doc ID 209987.1)

Symptoms

Timecard entered for 48 hours of vacation time

Enter timecard and receive error: The system could not adjust for the amount of overtime as defined by the rules. The overtime will need to be manually calculated and the appropriate hours type entered.

Timecard entered for 48 hours of vacation time (element PTO Taken_Info)

Timecard entered for 45 hours of Training

Save timecard results in error

Error: The OTLR error is: A problem occurred in the function hxt_time_summary.Generate_Details.

Error: The system could not adjust for the amount of overtime as defined by the rules. The overtime will need to be manually calculated and the appropriate hours type entered.

Setup for OTLR (Oracle Time and Labor Rules)

Earning Group = The group includes elements Time Entry Wages (regular time), PTO Taken_Info (vacation time), Training

This group defines any elements that are to count towards Overtime calculation in the Earning Policy.

NOTE- This definition is only used with Weekly Earning Policy.

 

Earning Policy =

Type = Weekly Overtime Earning Rule

Rule Weekly element = Time Entry Wages Hours = 40

Weekly element = Overtime Hours = 999

Holiday element = Holiday Hours = 8

Enter a timecard:

Monday - Saturday are entered with 8hr for element PTO Taken_Info

Total= 48 hours for element PTO Taken_Info

Save timecard and receive error:The system could not adjust for the amount of overtime as defined by the rules. The overtime will need to be manually calculated and the appropriate hours type entered.

 

Expected this timecard to be saved successfully and timecard to be exploded to 40hours vacation 8hours of overtime.
