The Repair Order Sub-inventory Is Not Defaulted Even Though It iS Set Up In Depot Repair Defaulting Rules (Doc ID 2108251.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 22, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Depot Repair - Version 12.1.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : 12.1.3 version, Logistics Management

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------

When a logistics line is created manually, the defaulting rules do not (all) kick in. For example, for a manual ship line, the warehouse and picking rule
defaulted, but subinventory does not.

When no subinventory is entered, the subinventory is not getting defaulted by OM defaulting rules..  t

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
Expect defaulting rule to work for manually added logistics lines.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Create a SR and RO where the automatically entered and booked RMA is checked.
2. Sub-inventory defaulted in as set up in depot repair defaulting rules set up
3. Added a replacement line, defaulting rules did not work? Rule is set up to default based on Repair Order Type
4. The repair order is incorrect, the depot repair defaulting rules over write the sales order defaulting rules, so there is NO subinventory on the sale order.
Note: sales order defaulting rules work as expected when line manually entered directly into Sales order
