12.1.3 E-Business Suite Users are Unable to Access the Forms Applet on Certain Desktops When Using Multiple Virtual IP Addresses in the DNS Server Configuration (Doc ID 2108326.1)

Desktops running Windows 7 with Internet Explorer (versions from IE8 to IE11) and Java JRE6 are not opening the Forms Applet as expected.

The issue does not occur for all desktops, but does happen consistently for desktop with the issue.

Review of the system configuration shows the System Administrator is using DNS server to manage client machines.

When Launching Forms, the following error is shown in the Java console window:


The System Administrator has recently switches to using the DNS server to manage client machines.
