Error: 'APP-PAY-07220: The primary key specified is invalid' Occurs When Attempting to Back Out a Life Event

Symptoms

When attempting to back out a life event, the following error occurs:

APP-PAY-07220: The primary key specified is invalid.


STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Go to responsibility US Super HRMS Manager.
2. Navigate to People > Benefits Service Center and query the employee in question.
3. Select View Person Life Events from the Desktop Activities drop down and attempt to back out the life event in question.

Error occurs.
