EXACT Transformation Does Not Replace Non-English Characters (Doc ID 2112553.1)

Last updated on JUNE 05, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle Trading Community - Version 12.1.3 to 12.2.4 [Release 12.1 to 12.2]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The EXACT transformation in Match Rule setup in Data Quality Management, as well as other transformations that include EXACT should replace non-English characters, for example á with a, ü and û with u, ô with o, and é with e.

However the transformation is not changing the Non-English characters to English in the Staged Data. When querying the records with Non-English characters that should be replaced with English ones, they are not removed.

User Entered Value: NESTLé
Expected Value: NESTLE

Changes

The API HZ_TRANS_PKG.EXACT TRANSFORMATION function was modified to call new private function local_chr instead of fnd_global.local_chr.
