Some Accounting Sequences Cannot be Queried - No Data Found (Doc ID 2116625.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 06, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle General Ledger - Version 12.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Some saved accounting sequences cannot be queried. For example when the sequence name starts with a number and the name includes characters too, the sequence cannot be found. However if the name begins with a character or includes just numbers - the sequence can be found.

All saved accounting sequences should be searched at will.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Login as General Ledger responsibility
2. Navigate to Setup > Financials > Sequence > Accounting > Define
3. Query the saved accounting sequence by full name, the record cannot be found.
4. Query the saved accounting sequence by part of name, the record can be found
