Credit Check Failure - Order Not Booking Automatically After Hold Is Released (Doc ID 2118427.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 20, 2021

Applies to:

Oracle Order Management - Version 12.1.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

When an order goes on hard credit hold (due to Credit Check Failure), the order booking is prevented and the status is "Entered". This is expected. However, when the credit check failure hold is released, the order is not automatically moving to "Booked" status. Users had to go back to the order and book it manually each time.
If it is not a hard credit check i.e. if the order is on credit hold and in booked status then it is progressing further once the hold is released.

Is there a standard way to automatically make the order to progress to "Booked" status when the hard credit hold (due to Credit Check Failure) is released as there is lot of tracking and manual activity involved in going back to each of these orders and booking them manually?
