IGI: Subledger Security Is Not Working, IGI_SLS_SEC_GROUP null (Doc ID 2119202.1)

Last updated on MARCH 24, 2016

Applies to:

Oracle Public Sector Financials (International) - Version 12.1.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.
IGI Subledger Security (SLS)

Symptoms

Observed that IGI_SLS_x tables are not being populated. In fact none of the SLS tables are being secured.

Multiple tables are secured such:
 OWNER TABLE_NAME                               SLS_TABLE_NAME
 AP       AP_BATCHES_ALL                          IGI_SLS_1
 AP       AP_DOC_SEQUENCE_AUDIT          IGI_SLS_2
 AP       AP_HOLDS_ALL                              IGI_SLS_3
 AP       AP_INVOICES_ALL                         IGI_SLS_4
 AP       AP_INVOICE_DISTRIBUTIONS_ALL IGI_SLS_5
 AR       HZ_CUST_ACCOUNTS                     IGI_SLS_6

The IGI_SLS_SEC_GROUP is null.
Checked mandatory profile 'Initialization SQL Statement - Custom' and found that is was not set.

From the IGI user guide page 51-9, Release 12.1, Part: E13418-03, this is a mandatory profile option setup and it needs to be set in order for SLS to work.
If this option is not set at application level, then SLS will not work.
