Applies to:

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

1. Upgrading E-Business Suite 11.5.10.2 to R12 and migrating platforms from Red Hat Linux 5 to Oracle Solaris Sparc (SuperCluster).

2. The goal is   performing a character set conversion at Release 12.1.3 of E-Business Suite. The current database character set is WE8ISO8859P1 and the Target Character Set is AL32UTF8.
Have run the ‘Data Migration Assistant for Unicode’ (version 2.1) to perform the scan and subsequent conversion.
There a number of AP objects with Expansion exceptions, which must be addressed, prior to the conversion. The Data migration Assistant for Unicode tool identifies the problem rows by row_id.

3. Are direct table updates on the object.column_names listed below fully supported by Oracle?
