Symptoms

On :  12.2.4 version,

Automatic serial generation for rebuildable item creation is not functioning properly.

Expect to have proper generation

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. define asset rebuildable number
2. add asset group
3. observe the serial generation is not working
