How can one prevent update of the item on the sales order line after the order has been booked?

The requirement is to disable updating the Ordered Item field on the sales order line using forms personalization
so that users will not be able to update Ordered Item once the sales order is booked.

One has tested using forms personalization on all the trigger events that are present.
  trigger object = ORDERED_ITEM_DSP and
  property name INSERT_ALLOWED = False and UPDATE_ALLOWED = False.
But the Ordered Item is still updatable. Please let me know what needs to be done to disable Ordered Item field by way of forms personalization.

Noted that one was able to achieve this by way of setting up a processing constraint
but cannot use this approach since one will need to update the Ordered Item from backend script which the processing constraint will not allow.
Hence needs to achieve this by way of forms personalization only.
