This note provides a brief overview of

Problem Statement:

On : 12.1.3 version, Workflow,Approval,Common Funct

An approval rule uses the employees associated with a position control role.
There are 3 such employees for the Role.
This is sending out of notifications to all users in the role works fine and
approvals or rejections of the requests also works fine.
The issue you have is that only one user of the role can use the "Update Action" function
in the notification to update the notification request.
This one user is always the first named person in the Action history sequence (EMPLOYEE1) e.g.:

EMPLOYEE2 and EMPLOYEE3 receive the following error when clicking the update action on the absence notification.

You cannot view or edit this transaction. Please contact your system administrator

Steps to Reproduce:

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1.  Setup parallel approvals using AME for absence management using position control roles in an approver group using
the voting method "First Responder Wins" for the HR Approvers
  2. Employee creates an absence request and the approvers are

    Seq 1 EMPLOYEE1
    Seq 2 EMPLOYEE2
    Seq 3 EMPLOYEE3

  3. EMPLOYEE2 or EMPLOYEE3 opens the notification and click the link 'Update Action'

  4. Shows Error.
