R12: OIE: WFENG.NOTIFICATION_PERFORMER Up to 500 "Not a Valid Role or User Name" Notifications Sent to Sys Admin Even though Workflow Does not Complete in Error for APEXP (Doc ID 2132617.1)

Symptoms

On : 12.1.2 version, Expenses Administration Utils


Expense Reports that have successfully completed workflow are generating up to 500 notifications a day to the Workflow System Administrator with the following error message notification even though the wfstatus.sql results for the workflow shows that the Third Party Approver notification was successfully sent and responded to by the employee/approver.

 

The System Administrator's worklist shows the same notification title and notification_id generated 2 minutes over and over again resulting in up to 500 notifications a day against a single expense report.  For example:
