WORK CLEARANCE ESTABLISHMENT/RE-ESTABLISHMENT SEQUENCE ASSET - SELECT A VALID VALUE ERROR
Last updated on MARCH 08, 2017
Applies to:Oracle Enterprise Asset Management - Version 12.2.5 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.
When attempting to creating a Work Clearance, when putting certain Assets in the Establishment/Re-Establishment sequence section user receives the error, Select a Valid Value. The validation seems to be using a like statement versus an equal statement. So the validation is returning multiple rows.
So for example, hierarchy levels are as follows.
So when in the Asset Hierarchy, on Asset xxx, it will blow up because it has another asset starting with xxx (x00-A). xxx-A will blow up because it has another asset starting with xxx-xN00-x (xxxN00-AB). xxx-x00-yz will blow up because it has another asset starting with xxx-yz (xxx-yz-Diescriptiom). xxx-xz-description will not blow up because it doesn't have another asset starting with xxx-yz-Description. xxx-yz12-014 will not blow up because it doesn't have another asset starting with xxx-yz12-014. xx-17420 will not blow up because it doesn't have another asset starting with xx-17420.
Select a Valid Value
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. creating a Work Clearance
2. put certain Assets in the Establishment/Re-Establishment sequence section
3. receive the error, Select a Valid Value
