WORK CLEARANCE ESTABLISHMENT/RE-ESTABLISHMENT SEQUENCE ASSET - SELECT A VALID VALUE ERROR (Doc ID 2139542.1)

Last updated on MARCH 08, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle Enterprise Asset Management - Version 12.2.5 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When attempting to creating a Work Clearance, when putting certain Assets in the Establishment/Re-Establishment sequence section user receives the error, Select a Valid Value. The validation seems to be using a like statement versus an equal statement. So the validation is returning multiple rows.

So for example, hierarchy levels are as follows.

1. xxx
2. xxx-y
3. xxx-yz
4. xxx-yz-description
5. xxx-12-014
6. xxx-17420

So when in the Asset Hierarchy, on Asset xxx, it will blow up because it has another asset starting with xxx (x00-A). xxx-A will blow up because it has another asset starting with xxx-xN00-x (xxxN00-AB). xxx-x00-yz will blow up because it has another asset starting with xxx-yz (xxx-yz-Diescriptiom). xxx-xz-description will not blow up because it doesn't have another asset starting with xxx-yz-Description. xxx-yz12-014 will not blow up because it doesn't have another asset starting with xxx-yz12-014. xx-17420 will not blow up because it doesn't have another asset starting with xx-17420.
