Oracle Order Management - Version 12.1.3 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
Demand class not always getting defaulted.
You have defined defaulting rule to default demand class. we also added dependency to change whenever schedule ship date changes.
When sales order is entered with order date type of Arrival and then Schedule Arrival date is populated then demand class is not defaulting.
You also observed demand class not defaulted for few other order lines.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
In Order Management:
1. Defining defaulting rule to default demand class as a constant value as '201602' .
2. Adding dependency to change whenever schedule ship date changes.
If the Order Date Type = Ship, then Demand Class will re-default when SSD changes or scheduling occurs
