Symptoms
On Oracle Applications 12.2,
BI Publisher Arabic fonts (Simplified Arabic) not working as expected as the pdf output has the words breaking and showing space in between.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Use simplified Arabic font in RTF template
2. Registered the the simplified Arabic fonts in Doc ID 373377.1.
3. Generated the PDF output and the output has the words breaking with spaces
The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot use the reports.
