Workflow Background Process Completing With Error glibc detected *** FNDLIBR: double free or corruption (out) on DB VERSION 12C (Doc ID 2145587.1)

Symptoms

After database upgade to 12c (version 12.1.0.2.0) , Workflow background process completing with error
"*** glibc detected *** FNDLIBR: double free or corruption (out): 0x00b65190 ***" shows in the concurrent request log.

Checking the Database alert log shows:

 

the following  error while background process is running , and the session getting killed.

Errors in file /u02/oracle/SID/diag/rdbms/sid/SID/trace/SID_ora_25818.trc (incident=1170860):
ORA-04036: PGA memory used by the instance exceeds PGA_AGGREGATE_LIMIT
Incident details in: /u02/oracle/SID/diag/rdbms/sid/SID/incident/incdir_1170860/SID_ora_25818_i1170860.trc
Non critical error ORA-48913 caught while writing to trace file 

Changes

 Database upgraded to 12C
