Payroll Does Not Distribute Correct Pay Amounts When There Are Multiple Payment Methods (Doc ID 2145733.1)

Last updated on JULY 01, 2016

Applies to:

Oracle Payroll - Version 12.1.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Payroll does not distribute pay to correct accounts when the employee has multiple payment methods.

Example:
Employee has direct deposit payment methods as the following:

Priority 1 - Monetary amount $1,700 to Bank A
Priority 2 - Percentage amount 60% to Bank B
Priority 3 - Percentage amount 100% to Bank C

After running Payroll, Prepayments, Payroll Archive, the following was observed:

Net Pay: $2000

Payment Method 1 - $1,700
Priority 2 - $300 (100% of remaining amount instead of 60%)
Priority 3 - $0

Steps to Reproduce:
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Using the example, set employee Payment Methods to 3 different Direct Deposits with the first priority being a flat amount the second being 60% and the third being 100%
  2. Run payroll
  3. Observe the 'Net Pay Distribution' only showing deposits into the first and second priorities.
