Why Does the Price Book Show Duplicate Items with the Same UOM? (Doc ID 2146846.1)

Goal

It appeared that the price book output shows duplicates items/same UOM.
S123A item presents in two places
1. page 1 under item category 'Purchased Item'
2. page 4 under item category 'Stack.XYZ/TAG123'

Closer review indicates that the output is specific to item categories and based on the item category a different price is provided.
Hence how can one limit output to only desired item category?
