Symptoms

On : 12.1.3 version, Customer Interface

When attempting to use RACUST to assign a bank/bank branch to a customer, the following error is returned in the INTERFACE_STATUS column: W8. The Banks have the same Bank Name associated to the record but have a different Bank Number tied to them.

EXAMPLE:

Create 2 new banks with matching bank names, bank branches but different bank numbers.

Responsibility: Cash Management Superuser
Navigation: Setup -> Banks -> Banks

Created bank ‘WEDNESDAY BANK’ with branch ‘WEDNESDAY BRANCH’ and matching bank/bank branch number ‘123456’

Created bank ‘WEDNESDAY BANK’ with branch ‘WEDNESDAY BRANCH’ and matching bank/bank branch number ‘234567’

For two distinct customer records, insert two records into the RA_CUSTOMER_BANKS_INT_ALL table. The bank details must be the same as the duplicate bank name records:

INSERT INTO ra_customer_banks_int_all
  (orig_system_customer_ref, orig_system_address_ref,
  bank_account_name, primary_flag,
  start_date, end_date,
  bank_account_num, bank_account_currency_code, bank_name,
  bank_branch_name, bank_num, last_update_date, last_updated_by,
  creation_date, created_by, bank_number, org_id, bank_home_country
  )
  VALUES ('15978', '16230',
  'LIAM CUST 1', 'N',
  TO_DATE ('07/16/2014 00:00:00', 'MM/DD/YYYY HH24:MI:SS'), NULL,
  '74185296', 'GBP', 'WEDNESDAY BANK',
  'WEDNESDAY BRANCH', '123456', SYSDATE, -1,
  SYSDATE, -1, '123456', 16005, 'GB'
  );

INSERT INTO ra_customer_banks_int_all
  (orig_system_customer_ref, orig_system_address_ref,
  bank_account_name, primary_flag,
  start_date, end_date,
  bank_account_num, bank_account_currency_code, bank_name,
  bank_branch_name, bank_num, last_update_date, last_updated_by,
  creation_date, created_by, bank_number, org_id, bank_home_country
  )
  VALUES ('15980', '16231',
  'LIAM CUST 2', 'N',
  TO_DATE ('10/06/2015 00:00:00', 'MM/DD/YYYY HH24:MI:SS'), NULL,
  '41852963', 'GBP', 'WEDNESDAY BANK',
  'WEDNESDAY BRANCH', '234567', SYSDATE, -1,
  SYSDATE, -1, '234567', 16005, 'GB'
  );

After running the Customer Interface program check the interface table again and you will see the W8 errors in the INTERFACE_STATUS column:

SELECT * FROM RA_CUSTOMER_BANKS_INT_ALL;
