How to Utilize Default Strategy When Multiple Collections Levels Are Used in the Same Operating Unit (Doc ID 2147678.1)

Symptoms

The default strategy profile option (IEX: Strategy Default Template) can only be set to a strategy at the same level as the Operational Data Level. If the Operating Data Level is set to Bill To-level and strategies are running at Account and Bill To-levels in the same Operating Unit, then only a Bill To-level default strategy template can be selected.

That will be assigned to the customers set to Bill To-level, but the customers at Account-level will not get a strategy assigned.


Steps to Reproduce:

Responsibility: System Administrator
Navigation
: Profile > System

  1. Set the profile option IEX: Strategy Default Template
  2. If customers exist at different business levels within this OU, it's possible that customers could be assigned a strategy at the wrong level, or result in no strategy being assigned.
