Why XLA and APPS Tables showed different record counts for XLA_TRANSACTION_ENTITIES ? (Doc ID 2149730.1)

Oracle Payables - Version 12.2.9 to 12.2.9 [Release 12.2]
Oracle Receivables - Version 12.2.9 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

As a part of 12.2.4 Upgrade, as per standard procedure , had changed the code and replaced table XLA.XLA_TRANSACTION_ENTITIES with Synonym APPS.XLA_TRANSACTION_ENTITIES.


But had seen  discrepancy in result and was  creating issue in custom reports and programs in production.

select count(*) from XLA.XLA_TRANSACTION_ENTITIES -- 1983234

select count(*) from APPS.XLA_TRANSACTION_ENTITIES -- 770248
