Autocreated Purchase Order (PO) Line Price Does Not Default Correctly From Quotation Price Break (Doc ID 2151535.1)

Last updated on APRIL 04, 2025

Applies to:

Oracle Purchasing - Version 12.1.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Autocreated Purchase Order (PO) line price is calculated incorrectly based on backing Quotation price breaks.

Steps to Reproduce :

------------------------

1 - Create a Quotation for the item with price breaks as follows :

Qty 1 - Price 63.38
Qty 5 - Price 8.43
Qty 25 - Price 8.43
Qty 50 - Price 6.19
Qty 80 - Price 6.19

2 - Create requisition with two lines having different need_ by_ dates and quantities.
Req line 1 qty: 24
Req line 2 qty: 48

3 - Autocreate Requisition lines to Standard PO using 'Autocreate' form in Purchasing. The standard PO is created with PO line price showing as 8.43 and qty 72. The quantity is correct, but the price should be 6.19, per price break on Quotation.

4 - If user recalculates price PO price, the right price (6.19) shows on the PO lines

The problem happens when there is more than one requisition line (each line qty falling in a different price break) and the total cumulative quantity falling in a different price break
