Contract Type Warning For Applicant Record Is Causing Budget FTE Not To Be Updated

This note provides a brief overview of


Problem Statement:

When attempting to update employee’s working hours and contract type, for any assignment
the following warning occurs:

APP-PQP-230514:Your change to the data in the current form did not update the FTE value due to
the following error:
This assignment does not have a contract type effective of 09-AUG-2013
Please use the Extra Details of Service form to assign a contract type.

Note: Record saves but FTE is not updated for the latest record update.
The date in the warning message (09-AUG-2013) corresponds to an applicant record not eligible for Extra Details of Service contract type, so this can not be added as suggested in the warning
Due to this message, the Budget FTE is not updating.


Steps to Reproduce:

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Navigate: UK Super HRMS Manager > People : Enter and Maintain> Search for employee in question 
2. Navigate: > Assignment > Others > Extra Details of Service
3. Enter New Contract Type and corresponding Work Pattern and Start Day (Update)> SAVE update
4. Above warning message occurred

Note: Same issue is reproduced when navigate to Assignment > Update Working Hours to reflect the change:
