Shipment Reference Sequence Number Is Not Reflected In The Displayed Order of Shipment Reference Number Qualifiers (Doc ID 2153265.1)

Last updated on MAY 06, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Transportation Management - Version 6.3.6 to 6.4.2 [Release 6.3 to 6.4]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Several shipment reference number qualifiers have been created with sequence numbers defined. When assigning these reference number qualifiers to a shipment (with sequence numbers defined for each one) and also assigning reference number qualifiers without sequence numbers, the reference numbers without a sequence number defined are displayed first alphabetically, and the remaining reference numbers with sequence numbers defined are displayed in the order of the sequence numbers defined.

It is expected that if some reference number qualifiers have sequence numbers and some do not, the ones with sequence numbers appear first (in the order of the sequence numbers) and the remaining ones display alphabetically after that. This is the behavior described in the 'Help' documentation.

The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:

1. Navigate to Shipment Management -> Shipment Management -> Buy Shipments
2. Search for a shipment and select to edit.
3. In the 'Reference Number' section, add reference number qualifiers that have defined sequence numbers and also ones that do not have defined sequence numbers.
Note: To check the reference number qualifiers, navigate to Shipment Management -> Power Data -> Qualifiers -> Shipment Reference Number Qualifiers and select the respective qualifier. Take note of the 'Shipment Reference Sequence Number' field for each qualifier.
4. Save the shipment
5. Click to edit the shipment again. The reference number qualifiers without a sequence number will be displayed first, and the remaining reference number qualifiers with a sequence number defined will be displayed in the order of the sequence numbers.
