OM System Parameter 'Latest Acceptable Date' Set To 'Honor the Latest Acceptable Date' Behaves Differently From Sales Order Form Verses Process Order API during Split Process. (Doc ID 2156475.1)

Last updated on JULY 01, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Order Management - Version 12.1.3 to 12.2.5 [Release 12.1 to 12.2]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : 12.1.3 version, Transaction Entry
With OM System Parameter 'Latest Acceptable Date' set to 'Honor the Latest Acceptable Date' when attempting to split order lines using process order API the Split fails with an error:

ERROR
-----------------------
E30 Schedule date exceeds Latest Acceptable Date.

But same behavior is not seen when doing the split from sales order form.
Note:
Based on system parameter setup this error is expected if Schedule Ship Date exceeds Latest Acceptable Date during split action. The Latest Acceptable Date is calculated as  Request Date + Latest Schedule Limit.
However system is not consistent in the way it behaves as the split by Sales Order form (OEXOEORD) would work successfully without raising an error.
