Rejected Notification Status Changed To Submitted In OTL, When the Single Timecard in a Time period is Submitted.

On : 12.2.4 version, Timecard Approval

Status of Rejected Fortnight (16th to 31st of a Month) Timecard changes to Submitted, When the Fortnight (01 to 15th day of the month) is modified/Submitted and then Workflow Background Process is run.

Status should remain Rejected.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Timecard Period is Semi Month
2. Approval Period is Monthly
3. Profile Option "OTL: Defer approval process on timecard submission" is set to "Yes"

Steps to Reproduce the Issue
1. Employee Submits 1st and 2nd fortnight timecard of a Month
2. HR Supervisor approves timecard
3. 2nd Level Approvers Rejects timecard
4. Employee edit 1st fortnight timecard and Submits it.
5. Run workflow background process
6. Issue encountered: 2nd fortnight timecard status changed automatically from 'Rejected' to 'Submitted'.

 Issue only happens for Rejected Timecards.

The issue has the following business impact:
