Goal

Will Oracle pay SMP if employee taken sick leave, which is related to maternity with in MPP?

This is legislative requirement in UK.
Please refer to https://www.gov.uk/guidance/statutory-maternity-pay-employee-circumstances-that-affect-payment URL for more details. Refer to Section on “Employee becomes sick”.

Example:
Mrs. Jo Smith took Maternity leaving from 21st of Sept. 2015, returned back to work 22nd of Feb 2016.
Mrs. Jo Smith takes sick leave from 28th of March 2016 till 3rd of April 2016. Since sick leave in during Maternity Pay Period (MPP), Mrs. Jo is entitle to SMP.
Will Oracle Pay SMP, if absence is recorded as sickness? Or need to record as Maternity, if we record as maternity then employee will get occupational hence can't record as maternity.
