Tag Errors Require Workday Shift Key to Reprocess
For tag data in the MTH_TAG_READINGS_ERR to be reprocessed, the workday_shift key value is required. Although the value can be retrieved via SQL queries, this method is not "user friendly" and requires someone to have this skill set and access. Additionally, if the data spans multiple shifts, it is time consuming to reprocess this data. One additional point, it is not necessary to supply shift information when originally processing tag data.
Reprocessing tag data from MTH_TAG_READINGS_ERR should not require the workday_shift information to be supplied.
-- Navigation path, on how to consistently reproduce the issue.
With data in MTH_TAG_READINGS_ERR, export to excel, set process flag to Y (and any other changes to correct the initial error), leave the SHIFT_WORKDAY_FK_KEY field blank, and try to upload. Will receive error. Populate SHIFT_WORKDAY_FK_KEY and click 'Upload'. Will successfully upload.
-- Business impact
Retrieving the required data (SHIFT_WORKDAY_FK_KEY) requires using a "back-end" process (SQL developer) and is cumbersome when trying to match the reading times to the correct shift key.
