After 12.2.4 upgrade, Notification List on Home Page Grows Automatically; How to restore Next/Previous Page Options?

Goal
Customer is experiencing the issue on homepage with worklist after applying 12.2.4 techstack patches.
Before applying patches, there were 25 records displayed in worklist with 'next' and 'previous' link available to navigate.
After techstack patches, auto scroll seems to be enabled as he has 'Release to Load' Instead of 'next' and 'Previous' links
He would like to have old functionality back.
