Symptoms

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
An link to an external URL is being adding to a user menu. The link contains javascript code to open the link in a new window as follows: javascript:window.open(‘http://www.domainname.com'). When clicking the link the following error is received:

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
It is expected to be able to open links in new windows successfully

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:

1. Navigate to Configuration and Administration -> User Configuration -> User Menus
2. Search for and select to edit the respective menu
3. Add a new link to an external URL. Input the URL as javascript:window.open(‘http://www.domainname.com')
4. Save the menu
5. Logout and login with the respective user that uses the menu
6. Click on the link.
7. The error is displayed
