In R12 E-Business Suite After A User Session Timeout When Accessing The Login Page The Username Is Populated With Non-ascii, Hexadecimal Type Characters (Doc ID 2173914.1)

Symptoms

Users receive a session timeout error in Oracle forms, and after clicking Yes to login again the browser window/tab appears, but the populated user name is not there.

Occasionally the username seems to be replaced by strange, non-ascii hexadecimal characters like the following:

� �� �j��� km^


There is a issue describe in <Note 2099283.1> - which has a fix to apply the Jan 2016 CPU (22133441).

However after <Patch 22133441> the issue with non-ascii hexadecimal characters still occurs.
