Symptoms
A test case is performed in sourcing with a rate record with say charge 1100 USD for 1 Ton of Shipment Weight.
Viewing the Bids, it is seen that computed cost is is blank. If the "average weight" value within sourcing lane definition page is updated, then the computed cost field in the Bids gets correctly updated. Requirement is that this should be picked up from shipment.
