Oracle Product Hub - Version 12.2.4 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
How can one restart a workflow that is in TIMEOUT or ABORTED status via an API?
Tried private lifecycle API (ENG_CHANGE_LIFECYCLE_UTIL.Init_Lifecycle) but it did not work.
Steps
1. Navigate to product data librarian > search change order
2. Check for Workflow/Approval Status
What is Working?
Works via front-end application to restart the workflow but not through an API call.
Business Need
-----------
Some Change orders which are either in TIMEOUT or ABORTED status. Too many to start manually. Want to reset/restart workflow from backend. The same works via front-end application.
Example cases :
a) Days to respond for a change order was set to 30 days earlier but now business wants the change order to be open without any timeout. And hence need to restart all the TIMED OUT change orders.
b) Many change orders are aborted manually by USERS but now they want those change orders to be restarted.
