Null Pointer Exception On Emergency Contact Approval Notification (Doc ID 2179741.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to Open up the Final Approval Notification of the Personal Information, the following error and Log messages occur.

STEPS
-----------------------

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. A copy of the Personal Information Workflow process was made.
  2. In custom process, for the Branch "Add or Update Contact", set the "HR_APPROVAL_REQ_FLAG" to "Yes - Dynamic Approval".
  3. Now create a copy of the function "Personal Information" and make necessary changes to add the New custom Workflow Process.
  4. Now login to "STN Employee Self Service, Stantec CA Business Group" Responsibility.
  5. Navigate to Function "STN Personal Information" to which the Custom Workflow process is mapped.
  6. Update the existing contact information of the person and Submit the same for approval.
  7. Now login as Approver and open up the Notification of Pending Approval.
  8. Approve the keyed in details.
  9. Now login as the Requester who submitted the changes.
  10. Try opening the Final Approval Notification that was received and got the above error message. When open up the log message, got the above log message as well.
