Workflow Mailer Office365 Configuration Issues

Symptoms

In 12.1.3 and 12.2.4 post following the document : Configuring an Oracle Workflow Notification Mailer with Cloud E-Mail Servers (Doc ID 2077434.1), the following issues are noticed.

1.Issue

Unable to configure the mailer using OAM and all the setup has to be done via afsvcpup.sql script

In the front end we see the below error if we try configuring the mailer using OAM

"An Error Occurred"

2. Issue

Notice the below error in mailer log

"Unable to connect to mail store"

3. Issue

ERROR:[SVC-GSM-WFMLRSVC-9274-10006 :
oracle.apps.fnd.wf.mailer.SMTPOutboundProcessor.send(Message)]:Exception
occurred while sending message -> javax.mail.MessagingException: Can't send
command to SMTP host;
nested exception is:
java.net.SocketException: Broken pipe

oracle.apps.fnd.wf.mailer.SMTPOutboundProcessor.send(Message)]:Exception
occurred while sending message -> com.sun.mail.smtp.SMTPSendFailedException:
530 5.7.57 SMTP; Client was not authenticated to send anonymous mail during
