Preventive Maintenance Work Orders Do Not Inherit Fields From Activity Associations (Doc ID 2188343.1)

Last updated on MARCH 08, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle Enterprise Asset Management - Version 12.1.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : 12.1.3 version, PM

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
Preventive maintenance work orders created either via the Maintenance Workbench or the Generate Work Order program do not inherit the fields Activity Cause, Activity Type and Activity Source.
Corrective work orders (created manually) do in fact get these values inherited - so this seems to be isolated the PM work orders only.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
Preventive maintenance work orders created either via the Maintenance Workbench or the Generate Work Order program should inherit the fields Activity Cause, Activity Type and Activity Source.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Responsibility: Enterprise Asset Management
2. Work Order Planning - Maintenance workbench
3. Run Forecast.
4. Implement the work order.
5. Query the work order in Self Service.
6. See the Activity association is missing.
