Goal
In the 1095 XML Transmittal process used to generate the records to send to the IRS, it drops records due to their zip code.
If someone enters a 9 digit zip code but fails to include the dash, the record is just dropped from the XML Transmittal process. It does not show in the log file that it was skipped and customer has to look for the count of records to make sure that all records are included.
- If a 9 digit zip code for the employee's home address is entered with the dash (xxxxx-xxxx), it is fine.
- If the zip code is entered with a 5 digit zip code (xxxxx), it is fine.
- If the zip code is entered with 9 digits but no dash (xxxxxxxxx), these records are dropped.
