Symptoms

Getting error after adding dependent in self service page for Open Enrollment


ERROR
-----------------------
The mandatory argument effective_date value cannot be null
Cause: The mandatory argument effective_date has either not been specified or has been explicitly set to null in the API ben_pbn_shd.lck .
Action: Either specify a value for the effective_date argument which is not null or contact your local support representative.


STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Using Self Service Responsibility, navigate to Benefits with a person who has Open Enrollment pending
2. Add a dependent in the flow of enrollment
  - See Error: The mandatory argument effective_date value cannot be null
