Oracle Interface WIP Mass Load Refreshing Wip_operations When Releasing Job Via The Interface (Doc ID 2194934.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 02, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle Work in Process - Version 12.2.5 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

On : 12.2.5 version, Open Interfaces

Oracle "WIP Mass Load" interface (wip_job_schedule_details) is behaving differently then the seeded Oracle form "WIP Discrete Jobs.

When we release the work order via the interface, all the operations are dropped, and refreshed from the most current routing's operations. We are NOT specifying a routing revision date. When releasing from the seeded form the wip_operations remain intact, and are not refreshed.

Same exact code functioning in 11.5.10, this issue we are experiencing is only in our test R12 environments.

Oracle WIP Mass Load Interface and Seeded Oracle Form "WIP Discrete Jobs" should be in sync.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Responsibility: Work in Process
2. Discrete - > Discrete
3. Save the Job in UNRELEASED status.
4. “Release” the job via the interface with WIP Mass Load.
5. Check the WIP_OPERATIONS table.
6. Routing Revision date remains unchanged.
7. Operation dates changed.
