Error "Process Cost Class Default Category Set Cannot Be Modified" When Update Category Set For The 'Process Cost Class' (Doc ID 2196854.1)

Goal

When attempting to update the Default Category Set from 'Inventory' to 'Cost Class' for the Functional Area 'Process Cost Class' , the following error occurs.

ERROR
-----------------------
Process Cost Class default category set cannot be modified as records exist in process manufacturing tables that refer to the old category set and the flex structures do not match for the old and new category set.

Navigation: Inventory > Setup > Items > Categories > Default Category Sets
