Last updated on NOVEMBER 08, 2016

Applies to:

Oracle Order Management - Version 12.1.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
For all Entered Sales Orders that have an Order Source “Online” (meaning directly typed them on the Sales Order Form), able to change the Request Date in the Main tab, and see that all of the other dates in the Line Items tab (Schedule Ship Date, Promise Date and Schedule Arrival Date) are automatically updated accordingly.

But, for all Entered Sales Orders that have a different source other than being typed directly on the Sales Order Form (for example, Order Source: EDI), when try to change the Request Date on the main tab, and save all changes, can see that all of the other dates in the Line Items tab (Schedule Ship Date, Promise Date and Schedule Arrival Date) are NOT automatically being updated accordingly.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
Expect that for orders coming in through the Order Import, when changing the Request Date on the main tab in the Sales Order form, all of these dates should change, like they do when the Sales Order has a Order Source of: Online.

STEPS
1. Via the Order management Responsibility.
2. Navigate: Orders, Returns > Sales Orders.
3. Enter a Sales Order from the Sales Order form, save.
4. Change the Request Date on the Order Header from 19-OCT-2016 to 21-OCT-2016, and see that the dates (Schedule Ship Date, Promise Date and Schedule Arrival Date), are also changed to 21-OCT-2016 on the Order Lines.
5. However, when the Sales Order Source is: EDI, when the Order is imported, then Change the Request Date on the Order Header from 19-OCT-2016 to 21-OCT-2016, and see that the dates (Schedule Ship Date, Promise Date and Schedule Arrival Date), are NOT changed on the Order Lines as expected.
