Cutoff Time is Not Considered When Planning With Arbitrary Rates Via Network Routing (Doc ID 2202170.1)

Last updated on JULY 20, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Transportation Management - Version 6.3.6 to 6.4.2 [Release 6.3 to 6.4]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When planning shipments using network routing and arbitrary rates, having defined on the order release only the EPD (Early Pickup Date), OTM is building the shipments with unexpected timings. (later than expected and possible)

It is expected to have the shipments built with the earliest timings possible, without delaying the shipment with 1 day.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Build network routing itinerary
2. Create arbitrary rates only for the first network leg
3. Define service time of type LOOKUP for the arbitrary rate
4. Define EPD on the order release
4. Plan the order release
