E-Business Suite 12.2 Applications DBA, Upgrade Related issues

 

 


Merging two 12.2 patches fails (for example R12.AD.C <Patch 10117518> and AD CUP7 <Patch 22742061>:R12.AD.C) with the below error:

ERROR

"Exception in thread "main" java.sql.SQLRecoverableException: IO Error: The Network Adapter could not establish the connection

The merge attempt may also just hang and never complete.

Checking the worker logs they were failing with the error "Exception in thread "main" java.sql.SQLRecoverableException: IO Error: The Network Adapter could not establish the connection".
