On : 12.1 HRMS RUP9 version, Canadian Payroll Tax Issues
Based on the Canadian Revenue Agency (CRA) the federal tax on a nonperiodic bonus payment should be 124.55 less that what was actually withheld from the employee
The CRA and Oracle to be very close in numbers for the federal tax that is withheld
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. For Bi weekly payroll, period 19 2016, employee received a non-periodic bonus payment of 1857.93
2. The Federal tax calculated at 675.43
3. The Canadian Revenue Agency online deduction calculation is showing the deduction should be 550.88 which is 124.55 less than what Oracle calculated
4. The tax calculation in Oracle for regular earnings matches the CRA calculation
